A small space for reflection

Lodestar is a journaling and self-reflection project from Duckgu Studio. We use the symbolic language of astrology to offer approachable starting points: a theme, a question, and a little room to notice your own day. You do not need to fit a description to use a prompt.

How the daily guides work

A prepared library of twelve themes is selected using the calendar date, Sun sign, and date-based Sun season. The same selection rule is used in the app. Themes recur. These are reflective prompts, not new predictions based on live planetary positions.

English readings use the America/New_York calendar date. Japanese readings use Asia/Tokyo. The iOS app uses your device’s local date, so a reading can differ near midnight when the calendar dates differ.

The website’s longer journal prompts and examples are editorial additions. They are not personalized readings and do not imply that a sign determines someone’s personality.

Our editorial approach

These launch articles were drafted and localized with AI assistance, then checked by the AI assistant against the product source and cited references. They have not been reviewed by an independent astrologer or clinician. The publisher is Lodestar / Duckgu Studio.

We distinguish symbolic interpretations from verifiable facts, link to sources for factual explanations, and label fictional examples. Publication and update dates reflect actual editorial changes. We do not publish invented user reviews or claims that astrology predicts events.
