Who you are dealing with
This website is operated by Lee JungAe, a sole proprietor registered in the Republic of Korea under the trade name 덕구스튜디오 (English display name: Duckgu Studio). Using the site after these terms take effect means you accept them.

Age and accounts
Lodestar is available from age 14. If you have not reached the age of majority where you live, you may use it only with permission from a parent or legal guardian, and the site asks you to confirm that permission. Under 14 is not permitted, because no child account or verified parental-consent programme is offered.
Reading the site and keeping browser notes do not require an account. Signing in uses Firebase Authentication with the provider you choose; Instagram Login supports professional accounts. Purchases and AI conversations require a signed-in account. You are responsible for activity under your sign-in, and you can report suspected unauthorised use to support@duckgustudio.com.
What the readings are
Lodestar offers astrology-inspired prompts for reflection and entertainment. Daily guides cycle through a prepared library of twelve themes selected by calendar date and Sun sign; they are not new predictions from live planetary positions. Charts use simplified position approximations, assume noon when a birth time is unknown, and do not calculate houses or aspects.
Readings do not predict events and are not medical, mental-health, legal, financial or other professional advice. Features may be changed, suspended or discontinued as the site develops; where a material change affects something you have paid for, we give reasonable notice unless urgent security or legal action is required.
AI conversations
AI replies require a signed-in account and AI processing permission saved against that account. Once enabled, the server recalculates the astrology context and sends the resulting placements and your conversation to Google Vertex AI. You can withdraw permission in Profile at any time; this stops future requests but does not undo processing that has already happened.
AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable, and Lodestar is not an emergency or crisis service. Safety checks may interrupt an ordinary reply to show support options; that safeguard does not replace a trusted adult, a qualified professional or an emergency service. Please do not submit another person’s confidential information without authority.
Prices and payment
Website readings are separate one-time purchases at USD 3.99 each, tax inclusive. There is no website subscription and no recurring charge. The Lodestar Plus subscription is an iOS product bought through Apple and is not sold here.
Gumroad, Inc. is the merchant of record. Lodestar has appointed Gumroad as reseller of these readings, so your purchase contract for the reading is with Gumroad: Gumroad takes the payment on its own hosted checkout, issues your receipt, and collects and remits any sales tax or VAT. This website never receives or stores card numbers.
The price, currency, tax and total shown on Gumroad’s checkout screen control the transaction. Buying a reading does not by itself unlock it on your Lodestar account: the readings on this site are open to read, and a purchase supports the work rather than granting access to something otherwise hidden.
Refunds and withdrawal
Your withdrawal and refund rights, how to exercise them, and what happens to your access afterwards are set out in the refund policy. No blanket “no refunds” rule applies, and nothing in these terms removes a mandatory consumer protection.
Your content and acceptable use
You keep your rights in what you write. You grant Duckgu Studio and its processors only the limited rights needed to transmit, process, store and display it in order to operate Lodestar.
- Do not use Lodestar unlawfully, infringe another person’s rights, or submit content you have no right to process.
- Do not attempt unauthorised access, evade access controls, reverse engineer protected components, automate abusive traffic, or interfere with operation.
- Do not use generated output to harm, deceive, discriminate against, or make high-impact decisions about another person.
Intellectual property and suspension
Lodestar’s software, visual design, text and branding, excluding content you submit, belong to Duckgu Studio or its licensors. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable right to use them. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, material breach, abuse or user protection.
Availability and liability
The service is provided on an available basis and may contain defects or interruptions. To the extent permitted by law, Duckgu Studio does not promise uninterrupted service or the accuracy of AI-generated results. We do not exclude liability where doing so is prohibited, including liability arising from intent, gross negligence, or mandatory consumer protection.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are handled by a court having jurisdiction under applicable procedural law. This does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections or local forum rights available where they live. English is the drafting baseline; the Japanese translation is intended to carry the same meaning and does not override mandatory local-language or consumer protections.
